Each volunteer position is different, though generally 16 is our age minimum. Use your passion and knowledge of science or technology to engage our guests and create a memorable experience. Museum-wide Internship; Join us! The Lawrence Hall of Science offers a fun, dynamic program for teens only. This is a year-long program runs May 2021 to April 2022. Each year, over 1,800 volunteers contribute time to the Museum. Volunteer opportunities for adults start in September and January. The Treasurer is a volunteer, an Officer of the Museum and attendee of meetings of the Museum’s volunteer Board of Directors. Children in grades 1-6 attend a full-day camp where they perform experiments, tour the museum, meet some of our animals and explore the science theme of the day. Dedicated volunteers assist visitors throughout the museum's exhibit spaces and provide critical support behind the scenes in research departments and offices. Please check back in 2022 for updates. But the hardest part may be deciding where to donate your time.
