This area is connected to the river trail and seems so tranquil. More rustic than some of the other city parks, but a great area to use the trail system. There are places to picnic, fish... Ralph W. Crego Park was closed for several decades. Crego Park is one of Lansing's newest parks. Nice way to get to the river. Public parking is available at regular intervals along the trail. I like this park because it links to a bigger trail system in Lansing. Things to see along the way include Brenke Fish Ladder, where spawning salmon and steelhead fight their way upstream during September; the Turner-Dodge House to the northwest; Potter Park Zoo to the southeast; and Louis F. Adado Riverfront Park- the home of Lansing's major festivals. What I go again I don't know.

The River Trail takes a lovely route along the river through parks, woodlands and along urban trails.
