I don't recall one with a 3D playing field. thx b4. It does take quite a bit to push. And until DeSmuME adds internal resolution/rendering multipliers into the vanilla emulator, I'm quite alright sticking with X432R. The last build leaves a lot to be desired, as many features such as Wi-Fi and multiplayer are nonexistent. While nightlies of DeSmuME might have better performance/be more accurate, the current "stable" build is the same build X432R was built on. It works fine and 3x and in 4x with fast forward it runs at 120 but if I turn fastforward off it's suddenly stuck in the 43-44fps range no matter what. Please tell me this was tool-assisted. Also I believe it was a conscious decision on the Desmume guys part to avoid developing upscaling. Too much of a performance hit for me to use though, just going to 2x halves my fps even with the dynamic recompiler. So I went there again and when I downloaded the file, the file was corrupted/invalid so I did a google search to their website but I may have downloaded from a fraudulent site as their download from a sourceforge mirror was also invalid. This is a fork of DeSmuME that allows for higher resolutions. This looks incredible. DeSmuME X432R_x64 has to be open to see "DeSmuME X432R_x64.exe": 5. Since then, it doesn't seem like much has come from them, or the DS emulation scene in general.

I don't have an account there. Is there some setting I missed? Just recently I got a new computer and decided to get a DS emulator to play FE12 and the last time I downloaded DeSmuMe I downloaded from EmuParadise. I had x432r before and it ran fine but when I tried to open DeSmuME_VS2015_x64_release.exe in the downloaded folder I get 2 error messages popping up after another.

DeSmuME X432R The mysterious old Japanese X432R fork also includes the ability to increase the internal 3D resolution like our own nightly builds, but the 3D resolution is limited only to 2x, 3x, or 4x the native size. Pixel art, when done well, still looks beautiful. No you're not crazy, I had to limit this to 15/60 fps and speed up in postprocessing.

You would know if it is working or not when you can push your analog stick forward and you're not walking extremely slow. Stretching DS games to 1920x1080/1200 isn't like stretching pixel art.
Stick with X432R for now, Desmume still isn't up to snuff. post here if you know something. On the newer builds of Desmume higher resolutions are now under "Config > 3d settings > HD Prescaling". This isn't true at all, it's not faster at all (would love to see your benchmarks and be proven wrong) and has less HD scaling options then X432R does. I also had the 16:9 Action Replay code on, which is why it looks normal when stretched. Recently, Desmume X432R was the most prominent one, allowing users to increase the native resolution to 4x. Desmume is faster from what I can tell.
